Some people claim that the growth of mass media has stifledintellectual curiosity. Others, however argue that the availability ofso much information and entertainment has encouraged individuals toexpand their intellect and creativity.

Pls advise your comments.

There is no doubt, that along with the advance of information technology, the mass media today has grown far beyond we knew before, which helped a lot on humankinds' to develop the world.

Many reasons have been found to support the above statement. Firstly, no one can deny the importance of mass media today. Through websites, emails, or newspapers, we absorb daily or even real-time news from the world, and all the humankind are connectioned in that way. Without mass media, it's impossible to hold a tele conference, order a new book from Amazon.com, or make a friend in Europe. Secondly, the mass media has re-define the meaning of "limit". For example, while it comes to outsourcing, people will think of the mass manpower of developing countries. However, what makes outsourcing come ture is telephone and internet newtork. It broke the limit of time zone, making twenty-four online service possible; the most important thing is, although some people have negative comment, we did create a whole business. At last, but never the least, what drives the growth of mass media is the never unsatified wants of humankinds. People want to get news, so mass media provide them. Sometimes we may feel anxious of too much information, but it's not to blame the mass media--the real problem is our ability to dinstinguish what we need. Seldom people will deny information; it keeps us in contact with the world.
